Details

The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for demanding structural applications where heavy loads must be safely supported. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working on cavity walls with inner leaves of 110-115mm and cavities from 50 to 65mm, this lintel combines strength with corrosion resistance thanks to its post-galvanised finish. Please note, a separate flexible DPC must be installed during construction for optimal performance.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for use in cavity wall construction requiring extreme load-bearing capacity. It is suitable for projects where robust support is critical, such as multi-storey developments, commercial builds, and heavy masonry walls. To achieve the specified load ratings, ensure the lintel is laterally restrained with a minimum 200mm bearing at each end and maintain inner to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1.
