The Catnic Arch Centre is a specialist PVC-u arch unit engineered for use over openings in external cavity walls, both in traditional brickwork and timber frame construction. Ideal for builders and site managers undertaking brick arch projects, it provides a reliable, permanent centring solution that simplifies the construction of segmental arches. Please note, each Arch Centre is supplied individually and must be checked for correct sizing before use.

Application

Specifically designed to support and shape brick arches over external openings, the Catnic Arch Centre ensures consistent and accurate arch formation. It integrates seamlessly with cavity wall lintels, offering a secure base for bricklayers. The built-in weep vents are crucial for draining any wind-driven rainwater that penetrates the external wall, helping to maintain the integrity of the masonry and prevent moisture-related issues.

Important: Only use undamaged Arch Centres and remove protective wrapping before installation. Position the unit centrally on the lintel, trimming the front drip section at the bearing end for a neat finish and thin mortar joints. Each Arch Centre covers openings within a tolerance of ±25mm, with lengths available in 50mm increments between 425mm and 3175mm to suit either 75mm or 150mm rises.
