Details

Thistle Dri-Coat is a specialist cement-based undercoat plaster designed for trade professionals working on walls following the installation of a new damp-proof course (DPC). It’s a reliable choice for builders, site managers, and contractors needing to control residual damp caused by hygroscopic salts in the masonry. Please note that this plaster is supplied in 25kg bags and is intended specifically for use after DPC treatment.

Application

This plaster is tailored for re-plastering walls where defective or absent damp-proof courses have been rectified. Walls previously affected by rising damp often retain salts that absorb moisture and can damage internal finishes. Thistle Dri-Coat’s cement base and waterproofing additives help limit salt migration, providing a durable, salt-resistant barrier that protects internal plaster and decoration. For best results, finish with Thistle BoardFinish skim plaster.
