Details

The Catnic CXL290 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 4250mm is engineered specifically for demanding construction projects requiring superior load-bearing capacity. Tailored for builders, contractors, and site managers working with cavity walls between 90-105mm and inner leaves of 110-115mm, this lintel combines strength and corrosion resistance for reliable long-term performance. Please note a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be fitted during installation.

Application

Ideal for structural openings in cavity walls where heavy loads are expected, such as multi-storey developments or commercial builds. The lintel must be laterally restrained with at least 200mm bearing at each end to achieve its load capacity. Suitable for use in projects requiring robust support across wide spans with inner to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1. Optional expanded metal mesh can be supplied to secure the base plate when specified.
