The Keystone BOX/K-200 Solid Wall Box Lintel 1650mm INS is a specialist insulated lintel designed for use in solid masonry walls between 100mm and 215mm thick. Perfect for builders and site managers working on internal openings, this lintel combines structural reliability with improved thermal performance, helping meet modern building standards. Please note that all lintels require a minimum 150mm bearing on each side and should be bedded on mortar for secure installation.

Application

This lintel is commonly used to support brickwork or blockwork above internal openings such as doorways and large window apertures in solid masonry walls. The insulated version (INS) offers better thermal resistance, reducing heat loss through the lintel, which is increasingly important on energy-conscious builds. The perforated box design ensures a strong plaster key, allowing for a neat and durable finish. For best results, lintels should be propped during construction to maintain alignment and speed up work.
