The Catnic CXL265 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 3250mm is engineered specifically for demanding structural applications where heavy loads must be reliably supported. Suitable for builders and contractors working with 70-85mm cavity walls and 110-115mm inner leaf thickness, this lintel combines robust materials and precise manufacturing to ensure safety and longevity on site. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction to protect the structure.

Application

This lintel is ideal for projects requiring extreme load-bearing capacity across cavity walls, such as large openings in residential or commercial developments. It is commonly specified where structural integrity is paramount, supporting masonry above doors, windows, and other openings with heavy loads. The lintel must be laterally restrained and installed with a minimum 200mm bearing at each end to achieve its full load rating. Inner to outer leaf load ratios need to be between 5:1 and 19:1 for optimal performance.
