Details

The Keystone CFS/K-130 WOL is a specialist extra heavy duty cavity wall lintel designed for use in wide outer leaf construction. Ideal for builders and site managers working with cavity widths between 130mm and 145mm, this lintel offers dependable structural support for openings in robust blockwork. Please note that outer leaf blocks should not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to ensure correct load distribution.

Application

This lintel is typically installed over window and door openings in cavity walls where the outer leaf blockwork measures between 125mm and 150mm wide. Its extra heavy duty rating makes it suitable for projects requiring enhanced load-bearing capacity, such as residential and commercial developments with substantial blockwork. To maintain site efficiency and safety, it is recommended that lintels are propped during installation. Additionally, blockwork should be built tight against the inner face of the lintel, with a mortar bed applied on top before laying floor units to evenly distribute loads.
