For optimal performance, the lintel must be laterally restrained with a minimum 200mm end bearing support and maintain inner to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1. As an optional extra, this lintel can be supplied with expanded metal mesh fixed to the base plate to aid plaster keying. Remember, the lintel does not include a damp proof course, which must be fitted separately on site.
