The Catnic CN81B external solid wall lintel is a specialist structural component engineered for builders and contractors working on 200mm to 215mm thick external solid walls. Its galvanised steel construction combined with a powder-coated finish ensures exceptional durability, while the duplex corrosion protection system offers reliable resistance against the elements. This lintel is supplied in a 2100mm length, ideal for a variety of serious building projects requiring dependable load-bearing performance.

Application

This lintel is designed to support masonry over openings in external solid walls, typically used in residential and commercial construction where a solid wall thickness of 200mm to 215mm is specified. It can also serve as a heavy-duty wall eaves lintel for cavity walls between 70mm and 100mm wide. The integral plaster key and ribbed insulation underside facilitate secure finishes and insulation placement. For solid walls exceeding 250mm thickness, alternative open back lintels are recommended; technical advice is available from Catnic support.
