Details

The QIC Y0 Ceiling Trim in RAL 9010 white is a specialist aluminium profile designed for professional builders and contractors working with suspended ceiling systems. Supplied in 3000mm lengths, it provides a clean, precise junction between metal suspended ceilings and adjacent plasterboard surfaces, combining technical reliability with a professional finish. Please note, all items are supplied in white as standard; alternative finishes can be arranged on request.

Application

This ceiling trim is primarily used to create neat junction details where metal suspended ceiling frameworks meet plasterboard panels. Its shadow-gap horizontal web can be factory slotted to form air vents if ventilation is required, offering flexibility on site. Suitable for use with single or multiple layers of plasterboard, the trim supports aesthetic appeal without compromising installation efficiency. It is ideal for dry lining, partition walls, and ceiling systems where a precise, durable edge finish is needed.

Type

Ceiling trim profile for dry lining and suspended ceiling systems

Trims are pre-punched with diagonal slots and holes in the plastering fin for easy fixing with drywall screws. They must be supported by appropriate structural members such as metal studs or timber battens, with vertical studs no more than 600mm apart for reliable installation. The QIC Y0 trim is designed to enhance the visual finish of ceilings and partitions and is not intended to add structural strength. For complex junctions, wedgelock cleats for straight joints, corners and abutments are available separately. Images are for illustration purposes only.
