Details

The QIC UC01 Ceiling Trim is a specialist aluminium profile designed for professional suspended ceiling installations requiring a neat vertical upstand. Finished in white RAL 9010 with a durable polyester powder coat, it suits contractors and site managers working on metal tile ceiling systems where reliable structural support and a clean aesthetic are essential. Please note, trims are supplied as standard in white; alternative finishes are available on request.

Application

This ceiling trim is intended for use in metal suspended ceiling systems where an upstand detail is needed to support vertical plasterboard or MDF panels. It is compatible with a range of infill tiles including metal, mineral fibre, GRG, plasterboard, and rigidised mineral wool. The trims provide sufficient structural support for these materials but are not designed to carry additional loads such as lighting or HVAC equipment, which should be independently supported. For improved finish and sound insulation, a bead of silicone mastic can be applied between the trim and the wall. Always ensure trims are fixed onto wall boarding material, avoiding direct contact with structural framing.
