Supports infill tiles structurally but requires independent support for additional loads such as light fittings or air conditioning units.

Details

The QIC SA04 Ceiling Trim is a specialist aluminium perimeter trim designed for contractors and site managers working with suspended ceiling systems. Finished in RAL 9010 white polyester powder coating, this 3000mm trim creates a precise shadowline effect where ceiling tiles meet walls or partitions, enhancing the professional finish of your installation. Please note trims are sold individually and accessories shown are not included.

Application

This trim is tailored for use with suspended ceiling tiles made from mineral fibre, metal, g.r.g, plasterboard or rigid mineral wool. It forms a crisp shadowgap perimeter where ceiling tiles abut walls, partitions or upstands. The horizontal web of the trim can be factory slotted to allow for air venting if required. Additionally, curved trims and column rings can be factory formed to suit bespoke project needs.

Type

Ceiling perimeter trim for suspended ceiling systems

These trims provide structural support for the ceiling infill tiles but are not designed to bear additional loads such as lighting or HVAC equipment, which must be independently supported. For improved aesthetics and sound insulation, a bead of silicone mastic can be applied between the trim and wall. Always install perimeter trims backed by wall boarding and avoid fixing directly to structural framing.
