The QIC SA01 Ceiling Trim, finished in white RAL 9010, is a specialist aluminium profile designed for suspended ceiling installations. It’s tailored for builders, contractors, and site managers looking to achieve a precise shadowline edge where ceiling tiles meet walls, partitions, or upstands. Supplied in 3000mm lengths, this trim combines technical reliability with a clean aesthetic, making it a smart choice for structural and commercial projects. Please note that trims are sold individually, and curved or specially finished trims require separate ordering.

Application

This ceiling trim is primarily used to form a sharp, shadowline perimeter detail around suspended ceilings featuring mineral fibre, metal, GRG, plasterboard, or rigid mineral wool tiles. It supports these infill materials structurally, ensuring stability and a neat finish. The trim’s horizontal web can be factory slotted to incorporate air vents where needed. For complex designs, curved trims and column rings can be factory formed. While the trim handles the load of ceiling tiles, additional supports are necessary for heavier fixtures like lights or HVAC units. For improved sound insulation and aesthetics, a silicone mastic bead can be applied between the trim and the wall. Always install perimeter trims backed by wall boarding, avoiding direct fixing to structural framing.
