Details

The QIC P01 Drylining Trim is a specialist aluminium edging profile designed for trade professionals working with plasterboard and suspended ceiling systems. Finished in a clean, durable RAL 9010 white polyester coating, this trim delivers a crisp, neat edge to 12.5mm plasterboard installations, making it a reliable choice for contractors, site managers, and developers focused on quality and longevity. Please note the trim is supplied in the standard white finish; other colours and finishes are available on request.

Application

This trim is primarily used to create sharp, defined edges on general plasterboard surfaces, ideal for partition walls and suspended ceilings. The P01 profile is engineered to complement various ceiling infill materials such as metal tiles, mineral fibre, g.r.g, plasterboard, and rigidised mineral wool. It supports the infill loads expected in these systems but should not be relied upon to carry additional weight like lighting or HVAC equipment without extra support. Perimeter trims should always be fitted backed by wall boarding material and not fixed directly to structural framing. For enhanced finish and sound insulation, a bead of silicone mastic can be applied between trim and wall.
