Details

The QIC CH01 Ceiling Trim in RAL 9010 white is a specialist perimeter trim designed for contractors and site managers working with metal ceiling tile systems. Its robust aluminium construction and precise profile make it an excellent choice for delivering crisp, professional finishes where ceiling tiles meet walls or partitions. Please note, trims are supplied in standard 3000mm lengths and can be customised with factory curving or alternative finishes on special order.

Application

This ceiling trim is primarily used to create clean, defined edges on suspended ceiling systems featuring metal, mineral fibre, GRG, plasterboard, or rigidised mineral wool infill tiles. It incorporates a channel to accommodate hold down wedges and clips, ensuring tiles remain securely in place. The trim can be factory curved to fit concave or convex walls and can also be shaped into column rings, providing flexibility for complex architectural details.

Type

Ceiling trim for suspended metal tile systems

This trim is engineered to support the weight of ceiling infill tiles with a significant safety margin, but it is not designed to carry additional loads such as light fittings or air conditioning units. Where extra imposed loads are present, independent support should be provided. For improved aesthetics and sound insulation, a bead of silicone mastic can be applied between the trim and the wall. Always fix perimeter trims backed by wall boarding material and avoid direct contact with structural framing.
