Details

The Keystone XHD/K-70 WIL 600mm lintel is engineered for builders and contractors needing extra heavy duty support in cavity wall applications. Specifically designed to accommodate cavity widths between 70 and 85mm, it provides reliable structural reinforcement for wide inner leaf blockwork measuring 125 to 150mm. Please note that this lintel is supplied in manufactured lengths of 150mm increments.

Application

This cavity wall lintel is typically used to span openings such as windows and doors where an extra heavy duty load bearing solution is required. It is well suited for cavity walls with wide inner leaf blockwork. To ensure optimal performance, blockwork should be built tightly against the inner face of the lintel. A mortar bed should be placed on top of the blockwork before laying floor units to guarantee even load distribution. Propping the lintel during construction is recommended to accelerate build times without compromising stability.
