Details

The Keystone XHD/K-50 WOL 1650mm is an extra heavy duty cavity wall lintel engineered for builders, contractors, and developers tackling demanding structural openings. Designed to support cavity widths from 50 to 65mm with a wide outer leaf, it provides dependable strength for 125-150mm outer leaf blockwork. Please note, lintels are manufactured in 150mm length increments and propping may be necessary during installation to maintain construction efficiency.

Application

This lintel is ideal for use in cavity walls where an extra heavy load-bearing solution is required, such as lintels over large window or door openings in masonry construction. Its wide outer leaf design suits blockwork between 125 and 150mm thick, with blockwork built tightly against the inner face of the lintel to ensure effective load distribution. Applying a mortar bed on top of the blockwork before laying floor units helps to evenly spread the weight across the lintel.
