Details

The Keystone XHD/K-50 WOL 1200mm is a specialist extra heavy duty cavity wall lintel engineered for builders and contractors requiring reliable structural support for openings in cavity walls. It is designed to accommodate cavity widths between 50 and 65mm and is ideal for use with 125-150mm wide outer leaf blockwork. Please note, lintels are manufactured in 150mm length increments and blockwork should be built tight to the inner face of the lintel to ensure proper load distribution.

Application

This lintel is commonly used to span window and door openings in cavity wall constructions where an extra heavy duty load-bearing solution is essential. It supports the masonry above openings, transferring loads safely onto the surrounding structure. The lintel suits blockwork outer leaves between 125mm and 150mm wide and ensures stability when installed with a mortar bed on top of the blockwork before floor units are laid. Propping the lintel during installation is recommended to facilitate a quicker and safer build process.
