This lintel is typically installed above window or door openings in cavity walls where a robust, heavy load-bearing solution is needed. Its design accommodates a wide outer leaf blockwork of 125-150mm and a cavity width of 90-105mm, making it suitable for residential and commercial projects requiring extra structural strength. To ensure correct load distribution and construction speed, it is advisable to prop the lintel during installation and build the blockwork tightly against its outer face. Additionally, a mortar bed should be placed on top of the blockwork before laying floor units to evenly distribute the load.
