Details

The Keystone XCFS/K-70 WOL 2550mm lintel is an extra heavy duty cavity wall lintel, purpose-built for wide outer leaf blockwork applications. It’s engineered to support structural openings where cavity widths range between 70 and 85mm, making it a dependable choice for builders, contractors, and site managers handling serious load-bearing projects. Please note that the outer leaf blockwork must not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to ensure correct installation and performance.

Application

This lintel is designed specifically for cavity walls with a wide outer leaf, typically 125-150mm thick blockwork. It supports heavy loads over openings such as windows and doorways in structural masonry. For best results and to speed up construction, it is recommended that the lintel be propped during installation. Additionally, blockwork should be built tight against the outer face of the lintel, with a mortar bed laid on top before floor units are placed to ensure even load distribution.
