The Keystone XCFS/K-70 WOL 1650mm lintel is engineered for extra heavy duty cavity wall applications, ideal for builders and contractors working on substantial projects requiring dependable structural support. Designed for cavity widths between 70 and 85mm, it suits outer leaf blockwork thicknesses of 125 to 150mm. Please note that the outer leaf block should not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to ensure correct load distribution and stability.

Application

This lintel is primarily used to support masonry over openings such as windows and doors in cavity wall constructions with wide outer leaf blocks. Its extra heavy duty rating makes it suitable for projects where enhanced load-bearing capacity is essential, including commercial and residential developments. For best results, the lintel should be propped during installation to maintain structural integrity and speed up the build process. Ensure blockwork is built tightly against the outer face of the lintel, with a mortar bed applied on top before laying floor units to distribute loads evenly.
