Recommended to prop lintels during installation to speed construction and maintain structural integrity.
Outer leaf block must not overhang lintel flange by more than 25mm; mortar bed required for even load distribution.

The Keystone XCFS/K-70 WOL 1200mm lintel is engineered for extra heavy duty use in cavity walls featuring wide outer leaf blockwork. Ideal for builders, site managers, and contractors working on structural openings, this lintel provides dependable support where cavity widths range between 70 and 85mm. Please note that outer leaf blocks are sold separately and must be installed according to specification for best results.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for cavity wall construction with an outer leaf thickness of 125 to 150mm. It supports openings such as doors and windows, carrying heavy loads safely over wide cavities. To maintain build quality and comply with good practice, lintels should be propped during installation to facilitate quicker construction and prevent movement. Blockwork must be built flush against the outer face of the lintel, with a mortar bed placed on top prior to laying floor units to ensure even load transfer.
