Please note, correct installation with mortar and props is crucial to performance.

Application

This lintel is suited to cavity wall construction where extra heavy duty load bearing is required, such as around wide window or door openings in brick or block walls with 70-85mm cavities. It supports the structural integrity of the wall and evenly distributes load onto the surrounding masonry. Builders should ensure mortar joints are fully filled and place a mortar bed atop the blockwork before installing floor units for optimal load transfer. Propping the lintel during construction is advised to maintain alignment and speed up the build.
