Application

This lintel is primarily used to support brick and blockwork above doorways, windows and other openings in cavity walls. Its standard duty rating makes it appropriate for most conventional building projects where moderate load-bearing capacity is required. It is important that blockwork is built tightly against the inner face of the lintel to ensure proper load transfer and stability. A mortar bed should be laid on top of the blockwork before placing floor units to evenly distribute weight across the lintel.
