Details

The Keystone HDBOX/K-100 1350mm INS is a robust, heavy duty box lintel engineered for use in 100mm solid walls. Ideal for builders and contractors working on projects with demanding structural requirements, it offers reliable support for concrete floors and concentrated point loads. The 'INS' variant includes integrated insulation, enhancing thermal performance without compromising strength. Please note, lintels are sold individually and must be installed with proper bearing and bedding.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed to carry heavy loads over openings in solid masonry walls 100mm thick. It’s well suited for supporting concrete floors, brickwork, and other heavy structural elements above windows and doors on site. The perforated box design ensures a strong key for plaster, making it a practical choice for finishing trades. It is essential to provide a minimum 150mm bearing at each end, bedded in mortar, and to prop the lintel during construction to maintain safety and speed up the build process.
