The Keystone HD/K-90 WIL Heavy Duty Cavity Wall Lintel at 1650mm is a specialist structural support designed for builders and contractors working on cavity walls with wide inner leaf blockwork. This lintel provides dependable load-bearing capacity for openings in walls with cavity widths of 90 to 105mm, making it a practical choice for demanding construction projects. Please note that inner leaf blocks should not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to maintain structural integrity.

Application

This lintel is commonly used to span openings such as doors and windows in cavity walls where the inner leaf is between 125mm and 150mm thick. It’s engineered to carry heavy loads, providing essential support in both domestic and commercial builds. To ensure safety and speed during installation, it is recommended that the lintel is propped until the surrounding blockwork and mortar have adequately set. Position the blockwork tight against the inner face of the lintel, and apply a mortar bed on top of the blocks before laying floor units to guarantee even load distribution across the lintel.
