Details

The Keystone HD/K-70 WIL is a heavy duty cavity wall lintel specifically engineered for builders and site managers working with inner leaf blockwork between 125 and 150mm wide. At 600mm length, it offers dependable structural support for openings with cavity widths of 70 to 85mm, making it an ideal choice for robust masonry projects. Please note, all lintels should be propped during installation to ensure construction speed and safety.

Application

This lintel is commonly used to bridge openings such as doors and windows in cavity walls with a wider inner leaf. It supports the masonry above openings by transferring the load safely to the adjacent blockwork. The inner leaf blockwork should not exceed a 25mm overhang on the lintel flange to maintain stability. For optimal load distribution, a mortar bed should be placed on top of the blockwork before laying floor units directly above.
