Constructed to prevent blockwork overhang beyond 25mm on the lintel flange, ensuring secure installation.
It is recommended lintels are propped during installation to speed up construction and secure stability.

Details

The Keystone HD/K-70 WIL Heavy Duty Cavity Wall Lintel at 1650mm is engineered for builders and contractors working on substantial cavity wall openings. It offers dependable structural support for inner leaf blockwork between 125-150mm wide and cavity widths from 70 to 85mm. Please note that the inner leaf block should not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to maintain integrity during construction.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed to carry heavy loads above openings such as windows and doors in cavity wall constructions with wide inner leafs. It ensures even load distribution when placed correctly with a mortar bed on top of the blockwork before laying floor units. For efficient and safe installation, lintels should be propped to facilitate construction speed and stability. The blockwork must be built tight against the inner face of the lintel to maximise performance.
