Suitable for cavity widths from 70mm to 85mm (2.75" to 3.35") and inner leaf blockwork 125-150mm wide.
Supports structural openings with a height of 130mm and width of 288mm for robust load-bearing performance.
Recommended to prop lintels during installation to speed up construction and ensure safety.
Inner leaf block should not overhang lintel flange by more than 25mm; mortar bed required on top of blockwork before laying floor units.

The Keystone HD/K-70 WIL Heavy Duty Cavity Wall Lintel at 1350mm length is engineered specifically for builders and contractors working with cavity walls requiring strong, reliable lintel support. Designed for cavity widths between 70mm and 85mm and inner leaf blockwork widths of 125-150mm, this lintel ensures structural integrity across openings. Please note that inner leaf blocks should not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to maintain correct load distribution.

Application

This lintel is ideal for use in heavy duty cavity wall construction where openings such as doors and windows require dependable support. It is commonly used with blockwork inner leaves ranging from 125mm to 150mm thickness. To optimise build speed and safety, it is recommended that lintels are propped during installation. The blockwork should be built tightly against the inner face of the lintel, with a mortar bed placed on top before laying floor units to ensure even load distribution.
