Details

The Keystone HD/K-50 WIL is a heavy duty cavity wall lintel designed specifically for openings where the cavity width ranges between 50 and 65mm. Ideal for use with 125-150mm wide inner leaf blockwork, it provides robust support to ensure structural integrity on demanding projects. Please note, the inner leaf blockwork should not exceed a 25mm overhang on the lintel flange to maintain proper load transfer.

Application

This lintel is primarily used in cavity wall construction to bridge openings such as doors and windows. Its heavy duty classification makes it suitable for projects requiring high load-bearing capacity, including commercial and residential developments. To maintain construction efficiency and safety, it is recommended that lintels are propped until the build is stable. The blockwork should be built tight against the lintel’s inner face, and a mortar bed placed on top of the blockwork before laying floor units ensures even load distribution.
