The Keystone HD/K-150 WIL Heavy Duty Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered specifically for supporting wide inner leaf cavity walls with widths between 150mm and 165mm. This 2250mm long lintel is ideal for builders and contractors needing a reliable, robust solution for heavier load-bearing wall openings. Please note, images are for illustration purposes only.

Application

This lintel is designed for use with inner leaf blockwork measuring 125mm to 150mm in width, typically found in cavity wall construction. It provides strong structural support over wide openings such as doors and windows, ensuring safe load transfer. For best results, the inner leaf blockwork should not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm, and lintels should be propped during installation to maintain stability and speed up construction. A mortar bed should be applied on top of the blockwork before laying floor units to evenly distribute loads.
