The Keystone CFS/K-50 WIL 4500mm lintel is engineered for extra heavy duty performance in cavity wall applications, specifically accommodating wide inner leaf blockwork. Please note that proper installation practices such as propping and mortar bedding are essential for optimal performance.

Application

This lintel is ideal for supporting openings in cavity walls with cavity widths between 50mm and 65mm, paired with inner leaf blockwork measuring 125mm to 150mm wide. It is commonly used over window and door openings where high load capacity is critical. To maintain structural integrity, the inner leaf block should be built tight against the lintel’s inner face without overhanging the flange by more than 25mm. Propping is recommended during construction to speed up the build and ensure correct load transfer. A mortar bed should be placed on top of the blockwork before laying floor units to distribute loads evenly.
