Application

This lintel is suited for use in cavity walls where the inner leaf is wider than standard, typically 125-150mm thick blockwork. It’s designed to carry extra heavy loads, making it ideal for supporting lintels over large window or door openings in residential and commercial builds. To ensure structural integrity, the inner leaf blockwork should not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm. Builders should also place a mortar bed on top of the blockwork before laying floor units to evenly distribute the load across the lintel.
