Application

This lintel is ideal for cavity walls with inner leaf blockwork thickness ranging from 125 to 150mm, where cavity widths are between 50 and 65mm. It is commonly used to support window and door openings, ensuring load is safely transferred above the opening. The lintel flange should not be overhung by more than 25mm by the inner leaf blockwork to maintain stability. Builders are advised to prop the lintel during installation to accelerate construction while maintaining structural integrity. Mortar bedding on top of blockwork before laying floor units helps distribute load evenly across the lintel.
