Details

The Keystone CFS/K-50 WIL 1050mm lintel is engineered for heavy duty cavity wall applications, specifically suited to wide inner leaf blockwork. It provides dependable support for openings where cavity widths range between 50 and 65mm, making it a trusted choice for builders and site managers handling serious structural projects. Please note that the inner leaf blockwork should not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to maintain structural integrity.

Application

This lintel is typically used to span openings such as doors and windows in cavity walls with a wide inner leaf, accommodating blockwork thicknesses between 125 and 150mm. It is particularly suited for projects demanding extra heavy duty load-bearing capacity, such as commercial builds or larger residential developments. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended that lintels are propped during installation to facilitate quicker, safer construction. Additionally, placing a mortar bed atop the blockwork before laying floor units helps distribute loads evenly.
