Recommended to prop lintels during installation to speed up construction and ensure safety.
Blockwork must be built tight to the lintel’s inner face; mortar bed placement advised for even load distribution.

Details

The Keystone CFS/K-150 WOL 2550mm lintel is an extra heavy duty solution engineered for cavity wall openings with wide outer leaves. This lintel is ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers handling demanding structural projects where reliability and load-bearing capacity are critical. Please note, outer leaf blockwork must not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to maintain structural integrity.

Application

This lintel is typically specified for cavity walls with outer leaf widths between 125mm and 150mm and cavity widths from 150mm to 165mm. It provides robust support over window and door openings in blockwork construction, particularly where heavier loads are anticipated. To ensure optimal performance, lintels should be propped during installation to facilitate faster construction and maintain safety standards. The blockwork must be built tightly against the lintel’s inner face, with a mortar bed placed on top before floor units are laid, ensuring an even distribution of load across the structure.
