Application

This lintel is commonly used in cavity wall constructions where the outer leaf blockwork is between 125mm and 150mm thick. It is perfect for heavy-duty openings such as large windows or doors in residential or commercial builds. To ensure optimal load distribution, the blockwork should be built tightly against the lintel’s inner face and a mortar bed applied on top before laying floor units. Propping during construction is recommended to maintain structural stability and speed up the build process.
