The Keystone CFS/K-130 WIL extra heavy duty cavity wall lintel is engineered specifically for cavity walls with a wide inner leaf measuring between 130 and 145mm. It is the ideal choice for builders, contractors and site managers requiring a robust lintel capable of reliably supporting large structural openings. Please note, the inner leaf blockwork must not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to ensure proper performance.

Application

This lintel is primarily used to support masonry above openings in cavity walls where the inner leaf blockwork ranges from 125mm to 150mm in width. It is commonly employed in load-bearing situations that demand extra heavy duty capacity, such as large window or door openings in commercial or residential developments. For optimal results, it is recommended to prop the lintel during construction to facilitate faster build times and maintain stability. Mortar should be bedded on top of the blockwork before floor units are installed to provide even load distribution across the lintel.
