Application

This lintel is used predominantly in cavity wall construction featuring a wide outer leaf blockwork of 125-150mm thickness. It is perfectly suited for supporting openings such as windows and doorways where heavy duty load support is critical. The lintel flange must not be overhung by the outer leaf blockwork by more than 25mm to maintain structural integrity. Builders should ensure blockwork is constructed tightly against the lintel’s inner face and apply a mortar bed on top before laying floor units to evenly distribute the load.
