Details

The Keystone CFS/K-110 WIL Extra Heavy Duty Cavity Wall Lintel at 900mm length is engineered specifically for builders and contractors working with cavity walls featuring a wide inner leaf. This lintel provides robust support for openings where structural integrity is critical, making it an essential component for serious building projects. Please note that inner leaf blockwork should not overhang the lintel flange by more than 25mm to ensure proper load distribution.

Application

This lintel is ideal for use in cavity walls with inner leaf blockwork between 125mm and 150mm wide and cavity widths of 110-125mm. It is designed to carry extra heavy loads above openings such as doors and windows, supporting the masonry above while maintaining structural safety. For best practice, lintels should be propped during installation to speed up construction and avoid movement. The blockwork should be built tight against the inner face of the lintel, with a mortar bed placed on top of the blockwork before floor units are laid to distribute load evenly.
