Application

It is commonly used over windows and doorways in residential and commercial masonry construction where extra heavy duty load capacity is required. To maintain structural integrity, it is essential that the blockwork is built firmly against the inner face of the lintel and that a mortar bed is applied on top of the blockwork before floor units are laid, ensuring even load distribution. Propping the lintel during construction is recommended to facilitate quicker, safer installation.
