Details

GYPROC Firestrip is a specialist intumescent gap sealer designed for building professionals who need to maintain fire integrity in plasterboard partitions. Ideal for use beneath soffits in deflection head details, this product ensures fire resistance is uncompromised in critical structural junctions. Please note, this product is supplied in boxes of five strips.

Application

This firestrip is engineered to be installed in conjunction with GypWall, ShaftWall, and FireWall partition systems, particularly at deflection heads where movement joints occur. Its intumescent properties cause it to expand when exposed to heat, sealing gaps that could otherwise allow fire or smoke to pass through, thereby helping contractors meet stringent fire safety regulations on site.
