The Expamet 269/600 Riblath is a 0.400mm thick galvanized steel sheet measuring 2500mm by 600mm, specially designed for trade professionals needing reliable reinforcement for plaster and dry lining projects. Its robust construction and corrosion-resistant finish make it a practical choice for builders and contractors tackling both flat and curved surfaces. Please note the sheets must be overlapped and fixed correctly to meet installation requirements.

Application

This Riblath sheet acts as a carrier for plaster where no key or backing is present, preventing cracking over chases, columns, or other structural features. It’s suitable for use in internal dry lining installations, including curved or dome shapes where flexibility is required. The sheet can be easily cut to size with tin snips or aviation cutters, making it adaptable to site conditions.

Installation Requirements: Ribs must point towards the structure. Sheets should overlap by 50mm on the short edge with ribs nestled together. Fixings are required at 150mm intervals around the perimeter through ribs, with central fixings no more than 600mm apart every second rib. Sheets should be installed in a stretcher bond pattern, and unsupported overlaps must be wire-tied at 150mm centres to maintain stability.
