The Expamet 590E3000 external movement bead is designed for builders and plasterers requiring a reliable solution to accommodate movement and prevent cracking in render systems. Supplied in boxes of 12, each bead measures 21mm by 3000mm and features galvanised steel construction with a PVC joint for durability and flexibility. Please note this product is not suited to exposed coastal or corrosive environments and should not be used with gypsum-based plasters.

Application

This movement bead is ideal for external plastering projects where expansion and contraction need to be managed effectively to maintain structural integrity. Its perforated wings provide a strong mechanical key to plaster, reducing the risk of cracking. The PVC joint allows sections to move independently while preventing water ingress, making it suitable for typical external wall finishes. Installation requires fixing at intervals no greater than 600mm, and care should be taken to avoid damage during trowelling and cleaning.
