Details

Expamet 76320 galvanized steel coils are specialist metal reinforcement strips designed for trade professionals working with plaster and dry lining systems. Supplied in a bundle of five, each coil measures 20 metres long by 65mm wide with a robust 0.400mm thickness, making them a reliable choice for reinforcing plaster over chases and dissimilar backgrounds. Please note, these coils must be fixed correctly and are not suitable for use over movement joints.

Application

These galvanized steel coils are primarily used to reinforce and protect plaster applied over chased walls, ensuring a strong, crack-resistant finish. They are fixed in a staggered pattern with fixings spaced at 300mm intervals and should be spaced off the substrate by 5-6mm to allow plaster to fully envelop the strands. When applied over different background materials, a layer of building paper should be used to isolate the plaster. Their corrosion-resistant galvanised coating makes them suitable for internal use in a range of construction and renovation projects.
