The Expamet 76720 Exmet coil is a heavy-duty galvanised steel mesh, 0.500mm thick and supplied in a 20 metre length by 305mm width. It is engineered for builders, contractors, and site managers who require a reliable solution to reinforce and protect plaster applied over chases or dissimilar backgrounds. Please note, this product is supplied as a coil and should be installed according to specified guidelines to ensure optimal performance.

Application

This galvanised mesh is ideal for reinforcing plaster over chased walls and protecting vulnerable areas where different materials meet. It prevents cracking and improves plaster adhesion by allowing the material to envelop the mesh strands. Installation requires fixing the coil in a staggered pattern at 300mm centres, spaced off the substrate by 5-6mm. When applied over dissimilar materials, isolate the plaster with building paper to avoid incompatibility issues. This product must not be used over movement joints to prevent failure.
