Expamet 76420 galvanized steel coils are designed for builders, plasterers, and site professionals who need reliable reinforcement for plasterwork. Each coil measures 20 metres by 115mm, with a robust 0.400mm thickness, supplied in a convenient bundle of 5 for larger projects. These coils provide excellent durability and support when applied over chased walls or dissimilar backgrounds. Please note, the product must be fixed correctly and is not suitable for use over movement joints.

Application

These galvanized steel coils are ideal for reinforcing and protecting plaster over chases, ensuring a crack-resistant finish. They prevent plaster failure where it interfaces with different substrates by isolating the plaster with building paper. Fixings should be spaced at 300mm centres in a staggered pattern, with the coil spaced 5-6mm off the substrate to allow plaster to fully embed the strands. The coils can be trimmed on site for an exact fit using standard tin snips or aviation cutters.
