The Expamet 77120 stainless steel coil mesh is a specialist plasterers’ metalwork product designed for builders, contractors, and site managers working to prevent cracking around structural stress points. Its 20-metre length and 225mm width give you ample coverage with a robust, corrosion-resistant finish that stands up to demanding site conditions. Please note the product is supplied as coils and must be installed according to guidelines to achieve optimal results.

Application

This stainless steel coil mesh is essential for reinforcing masonry around openings such as windows and doors, where cracking is common due to movement and stress. It is fixed into chases in a staggered pattern with fixings at 300mm centres and spaced off the substrate by 5-6mm to allow plaster encapsulation. Use building paper as an isolation layer when applying over dissimilar materials. It is not suitable for use over movement joints.
