The Expamet 77020 stainless steel coil mesh offers a reliable solution for plasterers and builders needing durable reinforcement to combat cracking in vulnerable masonry areas. Its 20-metre length and 175mm width provide flexible coverage, making it suitable for a range of structural and finishing applications. Please note, this product is supplied as a coil and must be fixed correctly to ensure performance.

Application

This coil mesh is primarily used to reinforce plaster around critical stress points such as window and door reveals, helping to prevent cracking and ensure a longer-lasting finish. It is ideal for internal and external plastering projects where corrosion resistance is key, especially in industrial or damp environments. The mesh must be fixed in a staggered pattern with fixings at 300mm centres and spaced 5-6mm off the substrate to allow plaster to fully encapsulate the strands. Avoid use over movement joints and isolate plaster from dissimilar backgrounds using building paper.
