The Expamet 544D3000 20mm External Movement Bead is a specialist stainless steel solution designed for builders and plasterers working on external corners where robust movement accommodation is essential. Supplied in boxes of 14, each bead measures 3000mm, offering practicality for medium to large scale projects. Please note this product is not recommended for coastal or corrosive environments and should not be used with gypsum-based plasters.

Application

This movement bead is ideal for external rendering and plastering works where expansion and contraction can cause cracking. Its perforated wing creates a strong mechanical key to the plaster, ensuring a durable finish. The integral PVC connection allows controlled movement while preventing water ingress, critical for maintaining wall integrity. The tear-off strip protects the joint edges during the render process, simplifying site handling. It is recommended to fix the bead at intervals no greater than 600mm using stainless steel fixings to maintain performance and corrosion resistance.
